Kung and Chhay opened Phuket Royal in March 2014. They both had previous experience working with South-East Asian cuisine, so the decision to transform their business came easily. Years earlier, Kung spent a lot of time learning about Thai cuisine at her parents’ restaurant, and Chhay owned a Thai restaurant when he was living in France.
Their collective knowledge made for a powerful beginning for Phuket Royal.
To this day, Phuket Royal recognizes the value of cooking authentic South-East Asian meals. The head chef is from Thailand herself, and she helps ensure that each dish stays true to traditional recipes. The ultimate goal is to make every customer feel at home, through providing satisfying food, excellent service, and a positive atmosphere. As the Phuket Royal community continues to grow, Kung and Chhay reflect happily on all the connections they have made over the years, and look forward to the future.
